Luke is 1 Month Old!

I cannot believe Luke is already 1 month old! It really does go by so fast - especially since the holidays are here too (time always flies around the holidays). We enjoy Luke more and more everyday. It is so fun to see his little personality develop. He is starting to smile and he has a fake cry that he uses to get our attention that is hilarious. Things he loves: bouncy seat, eating (duh), playing with his daddy and singing with mommy. Things he hates: baths and getting his finger nails clipped. I know he weighs well over 9lbs, but I'm not sure of his exact weight at this point. The outfit below was supposed to be his coming home outfit - it only took a month, but now it fits! Unfortunately, Luke has already had his first cold. He has had just a little bit of nasal congestion - mommy hopes he gets better very soon!!

Here are some photos of Luke on his 1 Month Birthday:

The face in this photo is just adorable - I had to post it!
Oops! He already snuck his little foot out of his sock!

More visitors - Luke had a wonderful time with Granny Dolores and Grandpa George

Grandpa George had the magic touch for getting Luke to sleep :)

So much to be thankful for...

Sorry!! This is a very late Thanksgiving post...I've been a bit preoccupied these days with the little one. :) We had several visitors over the Thanksgiving holidays. It was so nice to see everyone....aunts, uncles, grandpas, grandmas, cousins, etc....we are truly blessed! A special thanks to Uncle Rick and Aunt Jess for preparing a fabulous Thanksgiving feast!
***Expect a Christmas post sometime in February...ha!!
(These photos are in random order, but who cares, right? I included a few more photos of Luke too...of course!!)

We're Home

Just wanted to let you all know we got to go home Friday night and we are doing well. I'm just a little sore and tired, but doing much better. Thank you so much for the calls, emails, and texts. Sorry I haven't been able to get back to all of you. It means so much to me to hear from everyone!!! :) As you can imagine, we have been busy soaking in this little bundle of joy. Luke is such a good baby - he just doesn't like to have his diaper changed, but other than that he is one content little guy. He lost quite a bit of weight at first, so we are working hard to plump him back up. Apparently c-section babies have more mucous after birth and that can prevent them from eating as well the first few days. His little newborn clothes are swalling him (as you will see in the photos). I will try and be better at posting more photos. Thank you again for your prayers - it was a very long week full of labor "fun", but we got through it! Love you all very much and can't wait for you to meet Luke!!
**I have tried to post more photos several times and it is not working - - these will have to do for now**

Luke's Arrival Part I

Jenna is asleep, but I thought I would at least try to put some pictures on here for everyone. I will let Jenna write about the delivery later (I'm sure I wouldn't get it right anyway). I don't know why a bunch of the pictures are rotated, sorry. -Danny

What to do, what to do?

I'm 37 1/2 weeks along and I'm getting a little antsy waiting for Luke's arrival. I could still have a few more weeks to go, so I am trying to stay busy and not think about it. Since we are renting a condo right now, we are not able to paint/alter the room very much so Luke's lil room is pretty much done (minus his dresser that won't be delivered until next week!) boo! - - I've washed everything, the bags are packed, the house is cleaned, the closets organized, the pantry stocked, etc.....So yes, I'm excited and very ready to meet the little guy.

**It's important for me to point out that I'm one of those people who would open all of her Christmas presents early if I could, so feeling this impatient about Luke's arrival is not a surprise.**

Any ideas of things I should do to stay busy are welcome!!!!!!!!

Here is a glimpse of what the Hartmans have been doing while waiting for Luke's arrival:

Here is Luke just hanging out waiting for the right moment to enter this world.

Luke upclose. I think he's feeling a little claustrophobic at this point. Look at those precious cheeks!

Daddy worn out after helping mommy clean every room for the 20th time. :) He's such a sweet hubby. I bet he's dreaming about playing Madden on PlayStation.

Mommy measuring her "waist". At this point I have officially run out of things to do while waiting on Luke. ha! By the way, I measured 41 inches!!! And yes, this is the last time I will ever mention the size of my waist on the blog.

Luke's crib and lamb waiting patiently for him....

Some of Luke's winter outfits waiting on him too....we found a great sale at the Gap and the outfit on the left is from my sweeet friend April. The winters are very cold in Cleveland so these warm outfits are a must!

And finally, Luke's buddies that Nana made him wating on him to come home...Ollie, Gossie, and Elphie

*Thanks to Uncle Phil, Aunt Debbie, and Rose for the adorable chair*

Not Too Much Longer

An update...finally! Well, Danny is back from Louisville and I am so glad - he had the laptop with him, so that is why I haven't been able to blog! I had some wonderful visitors come and keep me company while he was gone so that was nice - - thank you Jessica, Mom, and Phyllis!!! We all had lots of fun getting everything ready for Luke's arrival. I am now 37 weeks and so far it's looking like we are on time for our due date of Nov 13. (of course you never know) We had a few weeks where we thought Luke was breech, but thankfully he decided to be a good little boy and turn the right way! (I think he is a procrastinator like his daddy)
At our last ultrasound we saw that he has a head full of hair and squishy cheeks - we still don't know who's nose he has. He is also a healthy weight...they predicted him to be over 8lbs at birth!!!!! We'll see if they are correct - - I'm trying to think positive and hope that they over estimated a bit. I will try and be better at updating everyone over the next few weeks. Please keep us in your prayers as we await Luke's arrival!! Happy Fall Everyone!!!!!
