31 Week Update

Well, let's be honest...I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I'm experiencing some not so fun stuff: yucky heartburn, sleepless nights (which result into sleepy days), frequent trips to the bathroom, back pain, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else b/c I have major pregnancy brain and forget everything! But other than that, I'm great - oh, and HUGE!

Seriously, I am so thankful for this little boy and am praying for a healthy arrival. Danny and I are ready for him to be here. We just can't wait to meet him :) He is quite the little kicker (he's moving like crazy right now)! I think he's getting bored in there. :)

During my 8th month, Danny will be in KY for 4 weeks doing a family practice rotation and I'm not looking forward to him being gone (I keep thinking about Laura Hamburg who went into labor when her hubby was out of town and I hope that doesn't happen to me...even though everything worked out great for her and he got there on time). I do have some family members coming to "babysit" me throughout his rotation...thank goodness!!!!! Keep us in your prayers over these last two months. It seems like a long time right now, but I know it is going to fly by!!
**Here I am at 30 weeks - - it's cheesy I know AND I blend in with the background. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be glad later that I have all of these to document my pregnancy.

Nashville Baby Shower

This post is long overdue (aren't they always?). Anyway, some special ladies in my family hosted a beautiful baby shower for me a couple of weeks ago when we were in Nashville. It was so much fun...I got to visit with lots of old friends and family that I don't get to see very often. Unfortunately, my memory stick was full and I didn't get very many photos :( Here are a few I did get:
The Wonderful Hostesses!
Cousin Marcie, Aunt Mary, Me, Sis-In-Law Sarah, and cousin Lori
Can you believe how color-coordinated we are??? We're so good :)

The Hartman Women
Danny's Mom, Aunt, Mamaw, Gr'ma, Sis-In-Law Jen, Me, Sis-In-Law Lynsi and of course Baby Grayden who was NOT happy to be the only boy in this picture!

Me and Mom :)

*Thanks again everyone for making our shower so special!! We love you!!

Luke's Ultrasound Photos Thus Far...

Luke at 18 weeks

He is very, very little here - a lot of weird goo around him too!

Luke at 24 weeks

Here he is with his hand on his chin :)

*The photo quality is not that great - we just have to scan in the little printouts they give us.

¡Adiós Laura!

My dear friend Laura leaves Tuesday to teach in Mexico for 10 months. She is such a talented elementary-spanish teacher and I know she is going to have a wonderful experience! Her link is on my blog if you want to read it to keep up with her adventures. Have a wonderful time Laura - we're praying for you.

Mi Hermoso Amigo Laura,
¡Espero que usted tenga una gran experiencia en México! Actualícenos a menudo en sus aventuras. ¡Adórele amigo dulce!!

Just thought I would take a break from baby blogging and share with you 5 products that I love!! They are inexpensive and work really well.
1. Aveeno Positively Radiant Facial Moisturizer - It is great for the price. I used to use a more expensive Clinique moisturizer & needed to "downgrade" to something cheaper. It is not greasy at all and the top closes easily for traveling so you don't have to worry about it leaking on the rest of your toiletries.

2. OPI Nail Polish (Lincoln Park After Dark I have worn the past two winters - I think it's time for a new shade): This polish is the best - it stays on forever - which is especially important to me since it is getting harder to reach my toes these days.

3. Matrix Sleek Look Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner - It must be a miracle in a bottle if it can tame my frizzy hair - I swear by this stuff!

4. Magic Eraser by Mr Clean - Scuffs on the floor, marks on the wall, this thing erases it all - - it really works!!

5. Shout Color Catchers - Drop one into the wash and you will never have colors bleed again - no more white clothes turning pink! Everytime I buy something new, I put one in the wash and you will see the colors come out on the sheet and not on your other clothes!! Yay!

What are some of your favorites???

Finally....An Update!

We have had a very busy summer - and there are no signs of it slowing down anytime soon! We went down to Nashville for the first time this year to go to Danny's youngest brother's wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding at a farm in Franklin. We are soo soo happy for Randy and Lynsi - she is a wonderful addition to the family :)

While we were in town, we got to see lots of family and friends PLUS I had my first baby shower! It was so fun getting to see everyone and catching up...if only we could have stayed there longer :( Thanks again to my sweet, sweet friends for throwing such a cute and fun shower - Baby Luke is so blessed!

I have photos below from our Nashville trip (Randy and Lynsi's wedding, visiting with family, and baby shower) I will try to update more often in the future - but I'm not making any promises!
